About Me
I am an Associate Solicitor at Marr Family Lawyers and practice exclusively in family law.
I have a Master’s Degree in Family Law (Applied) obtained through the College of Law NSW.
I was admitted to the Legal Profession in 2020. Since my admission, I have predominately practiced in Family Law, while also practising in Criminal Law and Child Protection Litigation.
My experience means I am comfortable in high-stakes matters. I do my best work in complex matters both parenting and property, where attention to detail, strategy and solution focused thinking create positive outcomes for my clients.
I understand that separation and navigating family law issues can be incredibly difficult, and I am dedicated to supporting my clients with empathy and understanding while providing the practical guidance they need to make informed decisions.
I am direct, down to earth, and honest. I reality test my clients and help them focus on what issues matter the most, especially when children are involved.
I enjoy a coffee (or a few), spending time with my family is important to me, being a parent myself, and a good Pilates session.
I pride myself in providing my clients with a unique and wholistic pathway forward.
My Experience
My journey in the legal profession started in 2015 at a boutique law firm in Shellharbour NSW, where I progressed from Legal Secretary to Law Clerk. From this point in time, I became immersed in Family Law.
In 2018, I spread my wings and hit the City (Sydney) to work alongside a number of Barristers in Family Law, Criminal Law and Civil Law matters. Here my passion for advocacy increased.
Then, it was time for me to broaden my experience interstate. After moving to Queensland, I completed my practical legal training with a Family Law Firm and a Criminal Law firm.
At the end of 2020, I returned home to Wollongong to kick off my career as a Family Law and Criminal Law solicitor. I was admitted to the NSW Supreme Court and the High Court of Australia in November 2020.
In July 2023, I commenced employment with NSW’s Largest Law Firm, Legal Aid NSW. Here I also took the opportunity to broaden my experience, and my practice included Child Protection matters, alongside Family Law matters.
In March 2026, I returned to private practice at Marr Family Lawyers, predominately working from the Kiama office.
My experience, as set out above, gave me with the opportunity to provide advice to clients in relation to a vast range of legal issues. When my clients come to me, they are often at the lowest point of their life, and when it felt like there was no way forward. I pride myself in providing my clients with a unique and often wholistic pathway forward. This pathway may include the supports of other professionals, including doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, financial advisors, accountants, real-estate agents, valuers, social workers, domestic violence units, refuges and more.
In relation to family law parenting issues, I have advised clients in matters involving extreme cases of domestic violence (physical, verbal, coercive control, psychological, and financial), drug use (both illegal and legal), alcohol misuse, where mental health has played a role (institutionalisations) and where parties and or children are neurodivergent. I have advised clients in matters involving child-grooming allegations, sexual abuse allegations, child coaching matters, and matters where children are being withheld from the other parent. I have advised clients in matters where a parent has relocated a child without the consent of the other parent, where parties can’t agree on where a child is to go to school, and in matters where parties are struggling to agree on medical pathways for the children.
In relation to property related family law issues, I have advised many clients with varying degrees of wealth, client’s who have complex business structures, family trusts, where they have (or their partner) have filed for bankruptcy, where valuations are required, where assets are not being disclosed and where financial abuse has occurred.
I understand that financial stress can be all consuming to one’s mental health, and my goal is to guide my clients to a resolution as quickly and amicably as possible, so that they can put their money towards their own wellbeing and family. This may be by way of a mediation, or other family dispute resolution conferences, depending on the issues.
While my intention is to settle disputes with consent of both parties (so that they are the one’s making the decisions in their own lives) sometimes, the intervention of the Court is necessary. My client’s unique pathway forward pathway is discussed with them during their initial consultation with me.
